When Life Knocks You Down

I remember anxiously sitting in the waiting room of an H&R Block, upper Manhattan, circa 2016. They were running an hour or so behind, everything felt scattered, and busy New Yorkers with places to be were not amused by the mayhem.

An older woman started walking around handing out candy. She smiled gently and calmly said, “all will be well.”

She looked me right in the eyes, and it stuck with me. Now whenever I feel frazzled, I still see her face and hear that woman’s voice.

Less than stellar moments happen…and that’s life. It’s our choice to cling to them or let them go. It’s not always *easy*, but it is possible.

✨ All will be well ✨
