A prayer for our low moments

I pray that even in my moments of regret and deepest shame,

I recall my oneness with the world

and know my soul is without blame.

My ego may have erred

in its mere humanity

when it exercised its pride, hate, greed, or vanity

in an attempt to learn a lesson,

Divine assignment to be completed.

 I pray I rise to the occasion

and never feel myself defeated,

for I am inherently good -

the Holy Spirit lives within me.

If I am truly one with God,

the least I can do is forgive me.

Even in my moments of regret and deepest shame

I am Love and Love is me,

and that’s a truth I choose to claim
